An exciting opportunity has arisen within Planned Care Ward 54, Victoria Hospital for Band 5 Staff Nurses.
Ward 54 is a 24 bedded planned care ward which currently specialises in Urology and Gynaecology. We admit patients directly for elective surgery as well as accepting emergency admissions from the surgical admissions unit, urology diagnostic treatment centre, and the gynaecology assessment unit.
This is a very fast dynamic ward and we offer a variety of learning opportunities and training for the successful candidate.
You should be enthusiastic, dynamic, caring and compassionate, with a keen interest in urology & surgical nursing. You should be self motivated, and strive to deliver high quality patient focused care.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and efficiently. To have a commitment towards patient safety and delivering the best quality patient care, enhancing the patient’s experience whilst in hospital.
Experience within an acute hospital ward is desirable, although not essential, as supervision and support will be available to orientate you into the role.
