This is an excellent opportunity to further develop skills and knowledge in acute medical nursing.

•    Make it to the point mention key fact such as
o    Shift pattern if they are expecting work weekends,
o    How big the unit is
o    Build a sense of joining a great team /family
o    Avoid using the phrase “this is an exciting opportunity” Everyone uses it and what is exciting about it???

Equality and diversity tips....
•    Do not state “must have driving licence unless the job is a driving job. Use the phrase “must be able to travel independently”
•    Do not use descriptive words that will contravene the protected characteristics such as handyman (gender), active, athletic (disability)  mature, youthful, young  & Dynamic (age)
•    Another age related question is asking for XX years of experience.  Someone who only has 1 year may have picked it up quicker than the person than 10 and asking for a long period of experience may imply you are looking for an older person
