VACCINATION SERVICE


Vaccination Programme Support Assistant -

Grade: Band 3 Salary Scale:  £21,709 - £23,603  

12 hours per week.

NHS Highland are recruiting to the Vaccination Service Delivery Centre and are looking for suitably qualified administration support assistants to continue with the current COVID vaccination programme and also other lifespan vaccination and immunisation services.  

 

The successful candidate will have strong administration skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel and be able to demonstrate:

Excellent customer service skills;

Experience of working as part of a team;

Excellent telephone manner;

Adeptness in using own initiative;

Experience of working in a busy environment;

The ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively and efficiently whilst having the ability to remain calm under pressure;

A sound understanding of confidentiality within a health care setting;

Flexibility in working pattern and duties;

Ability to cope with and manage change;

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

 

You will be required to manage referrals for all current vaccination programme, including contacting citizens to schedule, book and reschedule appointments locally and/or via the National Booking Portal.  You will support the vaccination teams to maximise capacity and manage an effective and efficient service.

 

You will provide administration support within the Vaccination Service Delivery Centre to ensure accurate records are maintained, be required to manage inbound/outbound calls together with managing emails/voicemails received by the Vaccination Service Delivery Centre and to escalate enquiries, where required. 

 

Prior experience of call management and data entry would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided.
