We are looking for an experienced, strategic leader to join our senior team in the Directorate of Public Health.
Reporting to the Director of Public Health, you will lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child health strategy for Tayside, in close collaboration with the Consultant in Public Health Medicine holding the child health remit.
Working independently and in collaboration with multi-agency and multi-disciplinary personnel, you will act as an expert providing leadership and coordinating the efforts of partner organisations to address and collaborate the issues impacting child health in a variety of settings. Key to your success will be your ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical personnel across Tayside.
You will have a first level Degree or post-graduate Diploma, plus a post-graduate Masters in an appropriate discipline such as public health.
You will have considerable post-graduate or post-registration practice and experience of public health/child health, working at a senior level in various NHS settings (acute, primary care, community), and service/operational experience including staff and budget management. It is crucial that you can demonstrate advanced communication and influencing skills.
The post is based within NHS Tayside Directorate of Public Health, Dundee.
The post holder will be required to travel to cover duties throughout a wide geographical area.
