This is a great opportunity to join an experienced and well established NHS substance misuse service, it is situated in a mental health and substance misuse health and social care hub in north west Edinburgh serving a large geographical and diverse area taking in the Georgian New Town, areas of high deprivation and more rural communities.
The postholder is responsible for managing their own and corporate caseloads within a defined geographical area and as part of a specialist service for individuals who are experiencing a broad range of complex needs relating to substance misuse problems and related mental health problems. Promoting a harm reduction philosophy with all agencies and individuals in contact with the service.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
