NHS Borders are delighted to be inviting applicants to join our Mental Health Service at Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse. The Borders Specialist Dementia Unit is a 12 bedded ward located in the Scottish Borders. The ward provides specialist care to patients whilst embracing the values and principles of person-centred care. We have a shared belief that everyone in our care has the right to a safe environment that maximises independence, freedom of choice, privacy, dignity and respect, delivered in a non-discriminatory way.

Lindean is a six bedded assessment and treatment in-patient Mental Health unit for the older adult who has a functional illness providing specialist care during an acute phase of a person's illness.  We adopt a Multidisciplinary team approach ensuring high-quality person-centred care is delivered.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership in both wards and expert advice to all nursing staff and will form part of the multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities include supervision, development of staff and the operational management of the ward.
