An exciting opportunity has arisen for full time Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse to lead the Specialist Learning Disability Inpatient nursing team in Blythswood House. The Specialist Learning Disability Service within NHS GG&C provides assessment/treatment inpatient services to people with a learning disability who experience mental ill health and or associated challenging behaviour / complex needs.  This post will offer a clinical leadership role within the inpatient service at a time of important service re-design in line with current national drivers including the Coming Home Implementation Report. The post holder will have professional and managerial responsibility for the ward nursing team. This will include facilitating and providing clinical leadership, adopting multi-disciplinary/multi agency approaches and ensuring that high quality, safe and effective person centred care is delivered to patients and their families.  Interested candidates should be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse and should have nursing leadership experience with evidence of relevant continued professional development activities.
