We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead the small, approachable and innovative Adult Community service in East Ayrshire. You will be based within a HSCP setting in East Ayrshire and will be offered a part time post of  30hrs per week (Alternative hours and working patterns will be considered)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop community services to provide flexible, timely and equitable services to the adult population of East Ayrshire. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multiagency partners to deliver holistic and patient-centred care in patient’s homes and care settings. Due to the varied and often complex nature of this adult caseload, specialist skills and experience in assessing, treating and managing acquired communication and/or swallowing disorders is essential. Knowledge and experience of acute and rehabilitation management of stroke patients is highly desirable as this post will contribute to the local community rehabilitation services. You should have experience of leadership, working independently, and be skilled at clinical prioritisation to enable you to provide responsive and urgent care when required. Regular support and supervision and opportunities to enhance skills will be provided in line with Turas.

You will hold:

•    University Degree or equivalent (3 years ordinary degree/4 year’s Honours degree).
•    Certificate to practise from HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
•    Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (desirable).
•    A valid UK driving license
