NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Psychological Trauma Service provides a boardwide specialist service for Complex PTSD, through consultation and support to wider services, and through the provision of specialist assessment, individual and group therapies. We are seeking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to the team. This role will provide a specialised psychology service on behalf of the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, which includes specific work with victims of human trafficking. The Psychologist is required to provide psychological assessment and therapy, and offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to multidisciplinary colleagues, interfacing services, and to non-professional carers. The post-holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the Trauma Service.
