NHS Ayrshire & Arran are seeking an enthusiastic, progressive and innovative Learning Disability Charge Nurse to work within the East Community Learning Disability Team, main base Rothesay House Cumnock. 

You must have an RNLD qualification and educated to degree level or working towards this with experience of working in a community team or similar setting. 

You should be able to demonstrate previous experience of undertaking specialist Learning Disability Nursing assessments, planning and implementing evidence based interventions and of working in a multi-disciplinary way. You will provide an accessible, high quality service to adults age 16 plus in the community and provide support and supervision to Staff Nurses and/or Support Workers within the team. 

It is essential you have good interpersonal skills with evidence of continuous professional development, supervising staff, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current policy context affecting the development of person centred learning disability services, positive behaviour support approaches, health inequalities and the role of nursing within a health and social care partnership.

A car driver is essential for this post.
