We are seeking individuals to join our Older People Service in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We require individuals who have excellent communication and organisational skills and who can excel in a busy working environment. You will assist the trained nursing staff in the delivery of a range of patient care procedures in addition to basic nursing care including catheter care, temperature taking, basic wound care, blood sugar monitoring, stoma care, basic IT skills and documentation. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and assist the Registered Nurse and where appropriate other members of the Clinical Team to deliver patient care. You will co-operate with and maintain good relationships with other disciplines that are attending and treating clients to maximise patient care and maintain good relationships and an empathic approach to clients' carers and relatives and refer them to a trained nurse for any questions they may have on the clients' condition or for any suggestions or complaints that they wish to raise. You will preferably have had previous hospital experience in an acute setting, but not essential. The posts are full time, 12-hour shifts, day shift/night shift rotation.
