An exciting opportunity has arisen within our new Ambulatory Rapid Assessment and Discharge Unit, within the Medicine of the Elderly specialty. We would like to welcome a dedicated Staff Nurse to become a valued member of this dynamic new service made up of another Band 5 SN and Band 3 HCSW.
The Ambulatory RAD Unit is a new unit and the function of this will focus on patients living with frailty to attend and receive a holistic assessment and treatment on a day case basis. Procedures will include transfusions and infusions tailored towards the frailer patient. We are looking for a Staff Nurse with a compassionate caring nature, who will focus on the delivery of effective high quality care. If you are motivated in providing exceptional patient focused care, possess good communication and interpersonal skills and work well within a multi disciplinary team this post is for you.
In return you will be be fully supported through mentorship, induction and training programmes and thus must be committed to your own professional development and updating your own PDP.
The unit will operate on a Monday to Friday basis within the hours of 9am to 5pm. These will be 7.5 hour shifts, however it is essential that you are flexible to change and able to work shifts if required, to meet the needs of the service. The unit will also have close/cross working links with the in-patient Rapid Assessment and Discharge Unit (RADU) and the Integrated Assessment Team (IAT) thus having the benefit of close multi-professional working.
Part-time hours and job share will be considered.
