Ward 2 St Andrews Community Hospital is a 16 bedded unit which specialises in rehabilitation, discharge planning and admitting patients directly from home under the care of our GP practice. We have 12 rehabilitation beds and 4 specialist palliative care beds within Ward 2.
An opportunity has arisen for a nursing auxiliary to join our team. We are looking for individuals with good communication skills and an enthusiasm to maintain a high standard of patient care. Personal attributes should be the ability to work within a team, demonstrate a caring and compassionate manner and show a willingness to engage with patients.
Previous experience in a caring environment is advantageous but not essential. You will also be expected to work a flexible shift pattern.
You will support the nursing staff in providing excellent care to the patients
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post
