LOCUM CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN
General and Acute Paediatrics

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term 12 months, full time (40 hours per week) post based at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People Edinburgh.
This fixed term post has arisen in the Medical Paediatrics team in response to service requirements. Commitments of this post will be split between the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP), Edinburgh, and St John’s Hospital Livingston with the exact split to be agreed in job planning. The post is available from 01 February 2023. The post holder will join an established and experienced team of Medical Paediatrics doctors.
The standard week will include one general paediatrics outpatient clinic, supervision of a registrar (ST) clinic, and contribution to out of hours on-call rota. The successful applicant will have a range of clinical experience and competence in general paediatric medicine. Level 2 Child Protection training is essential.
