An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 5 or Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service in North Aberdeenshire. We welcome applications from both experienced and motivated, newly graduated staff. The role involves working with adults aged 18 - 65 years with a diagnosed mental health condition in a community setting. This is a permanent post with Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
The post holder will be confident in core occupational therapy practice and will embrace opportunities to extend skills and develop differing competencies in a specialist role. The successful applicant with work across multi-disciplinary teams so the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. Training and support for professional development will be provided and there will be opportunities to be involved in future service developments. Regular supervision to support safe practice will be provided.
The occupational therapy team is progressive and welcoming. Current members possess a broad range of skills and knowledge - encompassing profession specific and other modalities.
Candidates should be aware that there will be a requirement to travel across Aberdeenshire, therefore holding a full driving licence with access to a car is essential.
