This is a Fixed term post for 24 months.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work within the Occupational Health Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The post holder should have a desire to work within this field and should have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience.  The post holder will work as a key member of the existing Occupational Health Nursing team and our multidisciplinary team in their delivery of a comprehensive service at a time of growth and development.  You will be expected to assess new recruits to the Board to ensure that they are fit to undertake the roles for which they have applied.  You will undertake health surveillance programmes as mandated by the Health and Safety Executive.  You will deliver occupationally required vaccinations and undertake venepuncture as appropriate.  You will also be instrumental in promoting a positive culture of general and mental health and wellbeing whilst identifying opportunities for health promotion.  You will have exemplary communication, assessment and organisational skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to this developing aspect of the service. You will be able to work independently but also function effectively within the larger team, whilst demonstrating adaptability to the diverse and variable demands upon our service.  ​​​​​​​
