We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Health Care Support Worker to join our nursing teams based in Armitstead Child Development Centre (ACDC) and Kingspark School. The post holder will work in partnership with the multidisciplinary teams based there to provide support and care for children with additional support needs who require to attend outpatient clinic appointments. The post holder will carry out identified duties, deliver and support the child’s care needs within the clinic environment. Following comprehensive training the HCSW will take and record children’s heights, weights, head circumference and blood pressure
Experience of working with children with additional support needs is desirable.
You must have a SVQ3 in child/social care or NNEB/HNC in child care or equivalent.
Travel across the Tayside sites
Your performance must comply with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
