A full-time vacancy for a Charge Nurse has arisen within the GP Unit, Pitlochry Community Hospital. We are looking for an individual committed to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective person-centred care. We successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership to support the Senior Charge Nurse in the delivery of the evolving service within the North Locality and promote developments to meet the changing needs of the local population.
The 9 bedded purpose-built GP Unit provides rehabilitation, medical and palliative care delivered with a holistic multi-disciplinary approach. Our small and friendly team provides care to inpatients with the support of our GP and Consultant colleagues and wider multi-disciplinary team.
We work closely with our community teams to enable seamless transition from hospital to home.
You will support the Senior Charge Nurse in the day to day running of the ward and to take forward service improvements, coordinate the continuing education and development of staff and to cover in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.

Pitlochry is a small and friendly Perthshire town surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of things to see and do. It is perfect for hill walking, fishing, golf with all the facilities you would expect on your doorstep with the added bonus of Pitlochry Festival Theatre. There is a train station which links Pitlochry to all major cities and road links have been recently enhanced by the opening of a new duel section of the main A9 which has significantly reduced commute time from Perth.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are: 37.5 hours per week
