GP PRACTICE NURSE (Maternity locum cover 6-12 months from January 2023)

Lochgelly Medical Practice, Lochgelly Health Centre, Lochgelly, Fife

Salary/Banding: DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE AND COMPARABLE WITH AGENDA FOR CHANGE BANDING 6/7

Hours: 16-20 Hours (very flexible incl. remote working option)

Start date: w/c 9th January 2023 (or sooner if you can!)

Fancy working in a flexible, lively, enjoyable team focussed on high quality care and helping us become one of the best GP practices in Scotland?

Our current practice nurse is heading on maternity leave and we are looking for an experienced GP practice nurse to focus on our patients’ long term conditions, smears and general practice nursing needs. We have ANP input to the practice however if you were also trained and interested in ANP work that may be of interest too but not essential.

We have a great admin team headed by Helen, 3 GPs, one ANP, a super friendly pharmacy team, specialist respiratory nursing and mental health nursing input, phlebotomy support, treatment room and district nursing in the same building and, together, look after 3500 patients.

We are committed to using telephone/video/MJOG to enable excellent, efficient care; however balance this with appropriate face to face consultations. As the GPN we would help you develop your skills in remote assessment, MJOG etc if needed.

We support family friendly, flexible working including short days and remote/home working for some of your week e.g. evening or weekend patient CDM reviews.

If you are reading this advert you are probably reading others too so we won’t say much more than that.

We recognise that finances are very important now more than ever and would be keen to explore what would make this work attractive to you (don’t say Band 9!) We also recognise that enjoying your work in a supportive, fun environment is important too and we can promise you that.

Informal Enquiries: Informal enquiries and visits to the practice are very welcome and can be arranged by contacting Dr Brian Robson, 07900 404588 or brian.robson3@nhs.scot or Mrs Helen Brown, Practice Manager, 01592 784586 or Helen.brown4@nhs.scot.

Please submit your CV and covering letter to Mrs Helen Brown, Practice Manager on Helen.brown4@nhs.scot.

Closing date Friday 9th Dec 2022, however we encourage everyone to apply as soon as possible as we will consider earlier interviews if the right candidate comes forward.
