The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. Fixed Term for 9 months
Crewe Medical Centre is a large and busy GP surgery located in North West Edinburgh. The practice is easily accessible by car and parking is available. We are looking to welcome a new GP to our friendly team on a fixed term basis, which consists of three GP partners supported by salaried GPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistant, Pharmacist, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, Link Worker and Administrative staff. We serve a diverse group of around 10,000 patients including a higher than average number of people affected by multiple deprivation.
The Practice is committed to teaching and we offer GP specialist training as well as placements for FY2 doctors and medical students. Applications from GPs with experience of or an interest in teaching and training are welcome, although this is not essential.
Crewe is an innovative, forward thinking practice. We have strong links with local health-related community organisations and regularly seek new ways to meet the needs of our registered patients, including organising a weight management group and mindfulness sessions.
There is scope for flexibility in working hours so full or part-time positions will be considered. We are committed to supporting our GPs and staff to have a good work-life balance.
Golden Hello payments are available, subject to eligibility conditions.
Interested candidates would be more than welcome to come to the Practice for an informal visit, or we can arrange a phone or zoom chat with one of the Partners if preferred.
To apply please send your CV with a covering letter to the Practice Manager at Emma.Kidd2@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
Informal enquiries can also be directed to the Practice Manager in the first instance, or phone 0131 552 5544
