The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9.00AM – 5.00PM – 30 minute lunch break.

​​​​​​​As a support secretary, you will provide a comprehensive, confidential, efficient, high quality and timely secretarial and administrative service to Consultants and multidisciplinary teams within the Ophthalmology Department. You will be required to undertake a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties including supporting the co-ordinating and maintaining of the Inpatient Waiting Lists, audio transcription of clinical letters via Winscribe. Knowledge and experience of Trak is essential. Good communication skills both verbal and written, the ability to concentrate and give attention to detail whilst managing interruptions are also essential. You should also have a HNC / SVQIII in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration or have equivalent experience in a similar role.

The post is currently based at Gartnavel General Hospital, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, however, cross-site cover may be necessary.
