DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR NORTH AYRSHIRE HEALTH VISITORS ONLY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our wider support to Ukrainians, asylum seekers and refugees coming to live in North Ayrshire. We are looking for an experienced Health Visitor who is interested in developing skills and experience in developing clinical pathways and assessment and screening tools for migrant populations and in managing a small integrated team of staff.
You should have extensive experience of working in health visiting practice and have demonstrable skills in relation to leadership, collaborative working and project development. Team working skills are essential, as is the ability to work differently and creatively in this unique role.
You will be released from your current caseload for one day per week to work alongside North Ayrshire Council’s Refugee Support Team. You will initially be released to support the recruitment of staff and to establish clinical pathways and processes as required. Once the integrated team is in place, you will be expected to provide clinical supervision to staff and to ensure the support is family-centred while meeting the needs of mainstream NHS services.
This will be a temporary opportunity until October 2024 and due to current funding arrangements, the opportunity is only open to staff working within North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership’s health visiting team.
For informal enquiries, please contact Joanne Inglis, Senior Manager – Children and Families, on 07825053572 or joanneinglis@north-ayrshire.gov.uk
Applications are welcome from UK, EEA and non-EEA candidates.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to produce proof of your EU Settlement status from 1st July 2021 to demonstrate your Right to Work in the United Kingdom. Further information: https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families. Existing employees may be asked to provide evidence of their EU Settlement Status from 1st July 2021
