An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to join the pharmacy team within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

This post is a unique hybrid role spanning across both primary and secondary care. For one day a week (Mondays) you will be responsible for delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients accessing care within renal services at University Hospital Crosshouse (UHC). The remainder of the week will be spent within primary care supporting delivery of the pharmacotherapy service in general practice with a proportion of time allocated to scope and support delivery of improvements to cost and quality of prescribing across the interface.

This post shall be based within UHC and North Ayrshire HSCP, but may be required to work Ayrshire wide when necessary.

We support development of our staff and applicants not currently holding a practice prescribing certificate will be supported to complete this. NHS Ayrshire & Arran also benefits from automated dispensing and electronic prescribing (HEPMA and CEPAS) within their acute hospitals. 

You may be required to participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas in addition to the on-call rota.  In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day.
