NETWORK LEAD CLINICIAN/PROFESSIONAL
National Police Care Network
Fixed term up to 2 years
Up to 2 PAs/week in total
In line with Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates guidance, National Services Division (NSD) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Clinician/Professional for the National Police Care Network.
Working closely with clinical and NSD colleagues the post holders will have a key strategic role in promoting and driving forward the development of an effective, integrated, multidisciplinary service for police care throughout Scotland.
Applicants will be leaders in their clinical field/field with experience of working at a strategic level, and ideally a national levelĀ and in the provision and development of services. A proven record in leading change, ability to work across traditional organisational, geographical and professional boundaries and a demonstrable understanding of the ethos of clinical networks are desirable. Experience of negotiating the evolving landscape of health and social care, an understanding of the complex needs of the population in police custody and the wider justice system would be advantageous. Applications would be welcome from candidates from a wide range of professions across the multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must have a current substantive role as an NHS Scotland employee and have the support of their Clinical Director/Head of Nursing/Service Lead for this post to be incorporated into their job plan. The employing NHS Board will be recompensed for the agreed sessional commitment on the basis of evidence of actual backfill costs incurred to release the individual to fulfil the Lead Clinician role requirements.
