We currently have a 12 month fixed term opportunity available for an HR professional to work within the Operational HR Team; to support the provision of guidance to managers and staff across the full range of the human resources function.

You will be required to provide daily advice, guidance and support to managers and staff on a full range of HR issues, including terms and conditions of service; the application and interpretation of HR policies, procedures and codes of practice; employee relations; employment legislation, conducting investigations etc, ensuring that all advice and support is in line with best practice and employment legislation.

There will also be the requirement to participate on a rota to support the HR Connect Helpdesk.

To support the development and implementation of modern employment processes and practices whilst maintaining effective operational service and assisting effective partnership working.

Assist other members of the HR team in developing, preparing and facilitating training and awareness sessions on HR policies and legislation for managers and staff across the organisation.

In order to be successful within this role, you must have previous experience operating at this level and hold excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. The ability to manage complex HR situations is essential.

You should be educated to degree level and/or equivalent level of experience in an generalist operational HR role, preferably within the NHS or a similar large organisational setting.  You should be in possession of or working towards CIPD membership.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
