Ninewells Hospital is a large NHS teaching hospital located in Dundee. The Assisted Conception Unit was established over 30 years ago and is today a state-of-the-art facility operated and managed by an experienced and highly qualified multidisciplinary team.

The Assisted Conception Unit manages approximately 450 fresh cycles of IVF / ICSI per year, most funded by the NHS, and a further 250 Frozen embryo transfers. The unit also delivers a fertility preservation service and a donor sperm bank. The regional diagnostic andrology service is delivered through the Assisted Conception Unit.

NHS Tayside currently has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and innovative Clinical Embryologist to join our dedicated and successful team.

You must hold a BSc (Hons) at level 2:1, or above, in a biological or biomedical science, preferably complemented by a higher degree. You must be working towards or have completed an accredited training programme, such as the ACE certificate, or the Scientist Training Programme, STP. You must also be a HCPC Clinical Scientist or working towards HCPC registration.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, ability to model strong values-based leadership and be a team player.

A presentation will be required at interview; details of the topic will be sent to those candidates shortlisted for interview, and you should also expect to undertake a dexterity test at interview.
