A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 first level registered nurse with current NMC registration to work within the District Nursing Team based in Dunoon, Argyll and Bute HSCP.
This is a full time (37.5hrs) community nurse post and covers Dunoon and the surrounding rural areas.
The hours cover 08.30 to 20.00hrs.
This includes weekends on a rota system and bank holidays.
It is essential to have knowledge and transferable skills relevant to community nursing which include wound management, continence care and palliative care.
Previous community experience is desirable but not essential and applications from newly qualified nursing staff are welcome.
The role also encompasses work on prevention, anticipation and supported self management to enable everyone to live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting.
You will need the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team along with good communication skills. Evidence of CPD is essential.
A full driving licence and use of your own car for work purposes are an essential requirement of the post.
