Principal Engineer

The Post:
We seek a self-motivated enthusiastic IT developer to join our small established friendly integration team, who are supportive of each other on a day to day basis. The post is permanent and could be office based or working at home so candidate needs to be flexible to adapt to both of these options. You should keep up to date with new technology and frameworks. You will be involved in design, development, maintenance and support of the best possible solutions for new and existing software products used throughout Scotland and the UK.
The Candidate:
Applicants should be educated to degree level in an IT related subject or have equivalent experience in a technical development role on large scale system solutions. You will have proven experience in a technical IT role, with strong SQL Server skills plus integration / web development experience. You will also have proven experience in:
• HL7, FHIR
• SQL Server (including complex SQL stored procedures)
• Integration engines/messaging workflows
• C#
• ASP.Net and MVC
• HTML / JavaScript
• XML, JSON
You will have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work with health professionals in NSS, NHS Boards and Local Authorities. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, and a high degree of accuracy. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential.
Location:
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
