The Western Isles Health and Social Care Partnership is delighted to extend their investment in intermediate care services with the expansion of the Community Equipment Service (CES).

We welcome applications from individuals wishing to join our friendly, supportive CES Team. The role will include shift patterns across 7 days on average one weekend a month.

Timely provision of equipment supports people to remain in their own homes, helps facilitate rehabilitation and discharge from hospital. The job involves the transportation, cleaning, fitting, demonstration and checking correct use of equipment for patients in their own homes. There is a wide range of specialist equipment ranging from handheld items to community beds.


Experience of care provision, a full UK driving licence, competent IT and communication skills are essential. The post is open to both female and male applicants.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation assistance.
