Within NHSGGC/South Sector/QEUH/NVH/GGH the AHP teams work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Outpatient Movement Disorder service within the Older Peoples Services team on a PART TIME, permanent basis.

It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in Physiotherapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant post graduate experience, including significant previous clinical experience in a relevant area. You should also be able to show evidence of working at an MSc level of post graduate training.

This post involves a very complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and symptom management. You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff, support worker staff and students, inducting, training and managing staff on a daily basis. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research. This post with be instrumental in designing and delivering the Physiotherapy service within the Movement Disorder service in Older Peoples Services. This will include the development of guidelines to aid admission avoidance and early discharge planning, as well as reviewing and streamlining the delivery of outpatient services within the Movement Disorder service, in conjunction with the rest of the MDT.
