The shift pattern for this post is Rotational Day/Night over 7 days

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Staff nurse/ Midwife within the Neonatal Unit on level 2 at the Royal Hospital for Children. This post will incorporate days/nights/weekends/public holidays.

​​​​​​​The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent and be a clinical expert in their field with at least 2 years post graduate experience and be qualified in specialty. The Neonatal unit is a busy level 3 50 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. You should demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of care ensuring the delivery of high quality family centred care to Neonates and their families. You must demonstrate evidence of ongoing clinical development and awareness of NHGGG policies and strategies. A sound clinical knowledge of medical and surgical conditions would be desirable. The ability to organize and priorities workload are essential.
