Job Advert

An opportunity has arisen for a Dietetic Support Worker to join the Rehabilitation dietetic team, based at GRI.

This post has 2 aspects: Firstly working on the wards undertaking tasks to support the nutritional assessment of patients. This requires strong numeracy and literacy skills to collect information from both electronic and paper systems, directly inputting your findings, in a narrative online format, working from a laptop in the clinical area. The second aspect is generic administration duties working as part of a service wide dietetic support workers team. All systems are electronic. IT competence and ability to work between IT packages is essential. Communication is a core skill for this post; you should be confident in your ability and enjoy communicating with both staff and the patients. The caseload covers the inpatient areas of stroke and older adults. The caseload is based across several sites: Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Gartnavel General hospital, Stobhill and Lightburn. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 9-5pm. This post is governed by the Health Care Support Workers Code of Conduct. We love when people call us to discuss advertised posts.
