Consultant in Otolaryngology (ENT)
Full Time (10 PA, including up to 2 PA SPA) – part time can be considered
3 full time roles available
Salary Scale - £91,474 - £121,548 (pro rata if part time)

NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative colleague to join the ENT service within NHS Forth Valley. You will be integral to the delivery of an ENT service to the Forth Valley region (population of 310,000).
The successful candidate will be part of a team of five Consultants and two Specialty Doctors. The service is supported clinically by ward based FY1 cover, ENT Nurse Specialist, Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist, Audiology Staff, Outpatient Clinic nursing staff and non-clinically by medical secretarial support and a dedicated ENT Operational Manager.
The department covers:
• Out-patient, elective and emergency ENT services
• Specialist Clinics (Head & Neck, speaking valve clinic)
• Supervision and training of junior medical staff & medical students.
• Multi-disciplinary meetings
The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full time. There are 3 full time posts available.
The post includes an on call commitment both within NHS Forth Valley and NHS Lanarkshire.

Applicants will be in possession of a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent, registered with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the time of interview or have a certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR). Applicants are required to have evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent, communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.
