We have permanent/fixed term opportunities for full time enthusiastic Community Addictions Psychiatric Charge Nurse.
You will be based within the North Ayrshire Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service (NADARS) within Caley Court Resource Centre in Stevenston. The post covers North Ayrshire, including the isles of Arran and Cumbrae. You should be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
You will be RMN qualified and possess a full driving licence. You will have community experience in supporting people with complex mental health and addiction related presentations and display a positive attitude towards enhancing addiction service users’ individual recovery journey.
You will work as part of a health and social care integrated team and show willingness to engage in training opportunities to enhance your knowledge and experience to promote continuing professional development. It is desirable that you will be a non-medical prescriber and have experience in delivering psychosocial interventions.
You will develop individual caseloads and make autonomous decisions with regard to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care in order to develop care plans to meet clients identified individual needs. This post holder will offer supervision to support junior staff nurses and students to ensure the high standard and quality of care to clients and assist in the development of junior staff towards becoming autonomous practitioners.
You will also promote and enhance the already established peer recovery networks across North Ayrshire and enhance links with both voluntary and statutory agencies to provide comprehensive, integrated recovery pathways.
Post 1: 37.5 hours per week – however, the service will also consider part time hours if suitable
Post 2: 37.5 hpw fixed term for 2 years
