​​​​​​​As a Phlebotomist you will be working in the Haematology Department,  your main duty will be to collect blood samples by venepuncture for laboratory analysis from all relevant clinical areas.  

Previous experience in phlebotomy is desirable, however full training will be provided in all aspects of the job.  

It is essential that you demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to set patients at ease.

Flexibility regarding the exact days and times of work periods is expected and you may be required to cover hours/days that are not your regular shifts.  

The initial training for this post will take place during weekdays but weekend working will be expected of the successful candidate when fully trained. You may be required to work across other sites within NHS Ayrshire and Arran therefore having a drivers licence is essential. 

1 x 12hr post (Sat and Sun 0730-1130am + 1 Weekday (TBC) 0730-1130am)
