The Advanced Interventions Service is one of 70 national services in Scotland, receiving funding directly from the National Services Division (NSD) of NHS Scotland. The service provides highly specialist assessment and treatment (including neurosurgical interventions) to the adult population in Scotland. Patients are also seen from the wider United Kingdom and EU. The service is for people with severe, complex and treatment refractory mood disorders (Major Depression) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Individuals will have experienced a wide range of pharmacological, psychological, and physical interventions over many years without any sustained improvement to their mental health.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced mental health nurse to join a well-established multidisciplinary team. This post will be based within Ninewells Hospital, although the successful candidate will be expected to have the flexibility to travel not only locally, but nationally. Capacity for occasional overnight travel is an essential requirement for this post.
Candidates will be an RMN, currently registered with the National Midwifery Council UK(NMC). They will have previous post registration experience, with current clinical experience delivering care in either an inpatient or a community environment. Familiarity with psychological therapies is desirable, but training will be provided. In addition, they should be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
