Applications are invited from an experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to lead a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Fife. 

You will jointly manage the Biochemistry service within the Blood Sciences department based in the excellent South Laboratory facility at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. The Blood Sciences department is accredited to ISO 15189 and holds IBMS approval for both pre and post registration training. 

The department is currently equipped with Roche pre and post analytics, Cobas 8000 analysers, Sebia electrophoresis, Thermo GCMS, Tosoh G8/GX, Diasorin Liasion XL, Uvikon spectrophotometer and Vitek osmometer. The department will be implementing a new MSC with Roche in the Winter of 2022/early 2023.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with previous practical and leadership experience in a Clinical Biochemistry laboratory. You must possess a M.Sc. or FIBMS. and a management qualification would be advantageous.
