Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is excited to be embarking on a significant expansion of its clinical services. This opportunity allows an  enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist within CAMHS Urgent Response Team (CURT)

This initiative seeks to enhance the current provision for children and young people who as a result of their mental health, present with acute and significant risk and require urgent specialist assessment and treatment. You will join a well established, team with the aim of providing effective and timely community / hospital based assessments and therapeutic interventions. 

You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis to children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holders will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings. Fife CAMHS is committed to the development of its staff group and actively encourages participation in the NES CAMHS development programme as well as bespoke training based on individual and service needs.

Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed along with the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with 2 years experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting. Applicants will be able to respond to the needs of the service and the locality which will include the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.
