Clinical Psychology (Learning Disabilities Service) Royal Edinburgh Hospital
Fixed term for 6 months from start date, Part-time 6months
Band 8A 15 (0.4 WTE)
A fixed term Band 8A 0.40 WTE post has become available for a Clinical Psychologist working within the Learning Disabilities Service. The post holder will be based within our inpatient service.
The Learning Disabilities Psychology Service provides comprehensive psychological assessment and therapies to adults with learning disabilities in the City of Edinburgh, East, Mid and West Lothian. In addition to providing clinical input, the post holder will supervise the work of Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and will ensure governance around the delivery of psychological therapies by professionals other than psychologists working within the designated service area.
The department is actively involved in consultancy, the training of other professionals and is involved in clinical research, quality improvement and strategic planning for psychological care.
We have close links with the University of Edinburgh/NES Clinical Psychology Training Programme and provide core and specialist placements for trainees.
