NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership in a permanent role, using your skills and experience to drive innovation and change and help to deliver quality and sustainable services for the citizens of Edinburgh.

We are seeking a skilled individual, with excellent leadership skills, who can coordinate and manage a significant programme of change.  You will work with the Service Director Strategic Planning, to provide strategic advice and guidance to the Chief Officer and wider Executive Management Team and the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board. The role will involve overseeing development and delivery of transformational change proposals, with a focus on sustainability. You will be responsible for ensuring robust business cases and clear plans are developed, risks and dependencies are well-managed and benefits are realised.

You will be well-organised, flexible in your approach and with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use your initiative to find solutions. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in the successful management of complex projects and programmes to deliver business change and transformation. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, with previous experience of building successful, collaborative relationships to achieve results. Your role will involve working with a wide range of managers, clinicians, professionals and partners to identify, develop and deliver proposals, so you will need strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information with confidence.

If you believe you have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to take on these challenges, we would welcome your application. If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Tony Duncan, Service Director Strategic Planning via email at tony.duncan@edinburgh.gov.uk

This is an integrated post and the successful candidate will be able to choose between NHS Lothian employment and City of Edinburgh Council employment.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
