Band 3 Podiatry Assistant (healthcare support worker, clinical)

30 hours 0.8WTE

Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.


NHS Lothian Podiatry Department is looking to recruit to our Clinical Healthcare Support workers Team.  Working as a podiatry assistant is rewarding as with a clear role in our nail surgery pathway, you will support the podiatrist during procedures and have a delegated caseload as part of the surgical follow up and review.  This role also supports the clinical team by undertaking non clinical duties e.g. stock ordering. 

The Podiatry service is a Lothian wide service covering acute hospitals, community based health centres and home visiting services.  Nail surgery is currently provided in Edinburgh (Allermuir), Midlothian (Bonnyrigg) and West Lothian (Blackburn)

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
