We have an exciting new opportunity in the West Lothian HSCP for a Senior Development Manager to work as part of our senior management team within Primary Care. Working alongside an established team, you will bring strategy and structure to a growing suite of projects improving pathway efficiency and the capacity to deliver safe and effective services.
There are significant challenges facing Primary Care and the post holder will be responsible for the development of strategies, action plans and performance management processes to deliver continuous improvement in relation to patient experience and safety in Primary Care and will programme manage specific initiatives for the WL HSCP specifically linked to transformation of Primary Care Services and implementation of the new GMS contract. This will include detailed analysis and production of performance reports to inform capacity planning, business planning, monitoring of service level agreements and enhanced services and working closely with the 20 GP Practices within the WL HSCP to offer support and to gather intelligence relating to the quality of services, identify areas for improvement and share best practice to help improve the quality and safety of care and promote sustainability in GP Practices.
The post holder will be educated to degree level and have experience of working in Primary Care with a sound understanding of General Practice, Health and Social Care integration and associated health and well-being outcomes. Working autonomously the post holder will have strong leadership and management skills be able to negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including performance and change and present complex and sensitive information to wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge and experience in quality improvement techniques and commissioning processes would be an advantage.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Although some face to face work will be required, there is also an opportunity for hybrid working.
