The Support Services Department is looking for an experienced candidate to join the Waste Management team within University Hospital Crosshouse. The Waste department works 365 days per year.
You must have experience in waste management preferably within an NHS environment and must hold Level 4 COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) in WAMITAB (Waste Management Operations: Managing Transfer Hazardous Waste) or agreement to undertake in first year of post.
You should have the ability to work off your own initiative as well as work as part of a larger team and have significiant experience in supervising ancillary staff within a healthcare setting or large, complex organisation, and NEBSM Certificate in Supervisory Management
Hours of duty are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5pm and also flexibility to cover out of hours, if required. Previous experience would be advantageous but full training will be given.
A car driver is essential.
