An opportunity has arisen for a full time band 5 pharmacy technician to join our enthusiastic and supportive Stewartry Pharmacy Team. The role will be based in general practices across the Stewartry and will help to support the promotion of cost-effective prescribing and implementation of cost-effective prescribing initiatives as well as the implementation of the new pharmacotherapy service as part of the new GMS contract.
The role will include running prescribing audits in practices and supervising the work of colleagues as well as medicines management and development of a Stewartry pharmacy hub.
Joint working with other Health and Social Care colleagues will be routine, as well as with the multidisciplinary and professional teams within the GP practices and local Community Pharmacies.
In addition to possessing the necessary SVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or GPhC accredited Pharmaceutical Sciences equivalent, it will also be desirable for the postholder to have the HNC Pharmacy Dispensary checking technician qualification.
