We are seeking an experienced nurse, to join us in providing professional leadership to nursing colleagues across North Highland. This is a a highly regarded and dynamic professional nursing leadership post in North Highland Health and Social Care Partnership, NHS Highland, reporting to the Professional Lead Nurse and working closely with the Associate Nurse Director, Deputy Nurse Director,  Board Nurse Director, other senior nurses in the organisation and in partnership with operational managers, and clinical leads.


The Lead Nurse, will work under the direction of the Professional Lead Nurse, taking responsibility for the professional standard of nursing practice, with a particular focus on Community Nursing in North Highland, leading and contributing to the work of NMAHP and other colleagues in terms of workforce standards, workforce and skill mix reviews, clinical governance & patient safety, IPC, quality improvement,  and staff wellbeing.


The aim of the role is to provide professional nursing leadership and expert advice across the five NHSH NMAHP Leadership dimensions:

Safe, quality care;  Professional workforce standards, planning and development; Service improvement, design/ redesign and development; Research and innovation; Partnership working


A full current driving license is essential and access to a car. Lease car is available
