NHS Borders are continuously delivering a varied portfolio of IT programmes and projects. These primarily consist of software projects covering both clinical and non-clinical areas.
We are looking for an experienced IT Test Analyst with a minimum of one years’ experience of software testing. Ideally you will have experience of both manual and automated testing.
The successful candidate will conduct a key quality control functions within the team by organising, prioritising, executing and fully documenting test workloads. The successful candidate is likely to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of one years’ experience of IT Software Testing.
- Experience of prioritising, planning, and executing test activities
- Experience of testing for code releases.
- Experience of defect detection and defect management for software testing is essential.
- Will have the ability to analyse complex business and clinical processes in line with the NHSB Test Framework and Patient Safety Strategy to produce the necessary Test Plan and Test Scripts for the required project test phases.
- Must have the ability to be proactive in innovating the test process within the business.
- Ability and experience of creating and maintaining all relevant test documentation.
- You must hold an ISEB/ISTQB qualification in software testing.
- Experience of using JIRA would be desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of working in the NHS would be advantageous, but not essential.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can quickly learn our systems and respond to a variety of software testing requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an establish NHS IT Team, working on a wide range of interesting and innovative local and national IT programmes and projects within the Scottish Borders.
The successful candidate can either chose to be fully home based or work a hybrid pattern with time split between onsite and home working.
