Health Care Support Worker -Specialist Children’s Services - Band 3.

Base – Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital, Alexandria 

37.5 hours per week. Fixed term – 2 years

We are looking for  enthusiastic and motivated individuasl to join our friendly and busy community Specialist Children’s Services team based at the Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital. You should be flexible and   able to work alone as well as within the multidisciplinary team.

You will support the multi-disciplinary team in implementing the Neurodevelopmental Standards and Specification conducting physical observations in clinics, school observations, home visits and co-facilitating group work, following adequate training and development.

It is essential that you have previous experience of working with Children & Young People (CYP) in the community and working knowledge of health care and mental health issues in CYP. It’s also essential that you have experience of using digital technology and information systems. You must also have skills and behaviours that demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, the ability to form good working relationships and to follow instructions as well as work on your own initiative.

It’s desirable that you are educated to or actively working towards SVQ3/ SCQF level 6 and have completed a health / mental health or social care programme or equivalent.

As this post is community based a driving license and access to a car are essential.   This post is subject to enhanced Disclosure Scotland check.
