An opportunity has arisen to apply for a permanent, full time Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 6) post (part- time applications will be considered) in the Cumbernauld Integrated Rehabilitation Team. 
The post holder will be based in the community at Bron Way, Cumbernauld and will provide specialist Physiotherapist interventions and work collaboratively in an integrated team which comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Senior Healthcare Support Workers and Occupational Therapy Assistants. A full valid UK driving license holder would be essential for this position to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will be an autonomous clinician, managing a clinical caseload of complex patients through physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning, and discharge.

The successful candidate will take a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge. They will have the responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality. The successful candidate will provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers and participate actively in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.​​​​​​​


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC registration

Educated to/working towards/operating at degree level

Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently. 

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice.

Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality/area of practice.

Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.

Further education/evidence of continuous professional development in area of speciality including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification

The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative

Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.

Effective time management skills

Working knowledge of basic information technology​​​​​​​

valid UK driving license
