Learning and Education Administrator, Band 3

Fixed term 12 months

Location: Remote working at present, with base West Glasgow ACH

The Learning and Education Support Team operates our busy enquiry management system responding to a high volume of emails and calls covering a range of activity. This includes responsibility for the maintenance, administration and user account creation for learning systems supporting personal development planning and review, and eLearning in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

The team also provides an administration service to our range of workforce development programmes including work based qualifications, Employability and Work Experience, Staff Bursary Scheme, Staff Induction and wider Learning Programmes supporting Board and National priorities.

Under the guidance of the Learning and Education Support Team Supervisor, the Learning and Education Administrator will have the responsibility for the tasks and duties in relation to the above.

The Key tasks for this post will include but are not restricted to: 

  • Provide support for our LE Support enquiry helpdesk which includes monitoring a busy enquiry mailbox, telephone line and responding to a variety of queries.  This will involve assisting a wide variety of users and stakeholders in order to create accounts for learning systems, resolve queries and offer solutions. 
  • Support the planning and organisation of teaching and learning virtual events, such as webinars, meetings, training events, conferences. This will include working across multiple platforms and liaising with presenters/attendees/facilitators from a range of health and social care organisations. 
  • Provide administration support including diary management; monitoring multiple mailboxes and directing emails appropriately; supporting meetings; and providing support on day to day matters as required.   

For this role you will bring: 

  • Educated to SVQ Level 3 /SCQF Level 6 
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (eg M365 (previously known as O365), MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)  
  • Relevant experience in a general office environment, for example word processing, administration, secretarial or other areas relevant to the duties of this post 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service
