Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner- 2years Fixed Term until 31st December 2024, 37.5 hours per week
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Addictions Occupational Therapy Team in East Ayrshire. The post holder will work in the East Ayrshire Community Addictions Team alongside and under the guidance of Occupational Therapy Staff offering input to service users within their own homes and communities.
Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist you will manage your own caseload, undertaking planned individual and/or group-work activities, in order to meet individual service user’s goals as part of their Occupational Therapy treatment plan. You will be required to undertake delegated tasks to contribute to the safe and smooth running of the Occupational Therapy service.
It is essential that the post holder has effective communication and interpersonal skills and be able to use their own initiative as well as working as part of the Occupational Therapy and wider Multi-Disciplinary team. Clinical and line management supervision will be provided and we are keen to support applicants to learn and develop skills within the role.
Minimum of 2 year’s previous experience as Band 3 support worker or equivalent required. Experience working within Addictions or Mental Health Services is preferred but not essential.
Post holder will be trained to SVQ III or HNC level or have equivalent training or experience. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential for community working.
The post will be 37.5 hours per week based at Lister Street, Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock covering all of East Ayrshire.
2years Fixed Term until 31st December 2024, 37.5 hours per week (part time hours would be considered)
